The clinic has modern facilities for diagnosis, treatment and dispensary monitoring of patients with solid tumors and hematological diseases.
The structures are the Admission and Consultation Sector, the Medical Oncology Unit and the Clinical Haematology Unit with a total of 35 beds. There is a dispensary unit for the treatment of patients with malignant diseases and a day hospital for the treatment of patients with manipulation.
The activity of the clinic is in several directions:
Diagnostic and therapeutic - modern diagnostics and therapy of malignant diseases (solid tumors and oncohematological pathology). Conventional and high-dose chemotherapy, targeted and immunotherapy are performed.
Educational activities - training of students in clinical hematology and medical oncology; trainee doctors in internal medicine, medical specialists.
Postgraduate training - for doctors specializing in general medicine, internal medicine, clinical hematology and medical oncology.
Scientific activity - focus on anemia in malignant diseases, secondary malignancies, thrombotic risk in malignant diseases

Outstanding is the role of Prof. Dr. Janet Grudeva-Popova, founder and head of the clinic from 2008 until the end of 2017. Her presence as a physician with high professional qualities and a wide range of qualifications, numerous scientific recognitions and teaching experience contributed to the establishment of the unit as a significant center for oncological treatment and training of medical personnel in Southern Bulgaria.
The Clinic of Medical Oncology with its material and technical base, high professionalism and scientific potential of the staff meets the requirements for level III competence.
The specialists of the Clinic of Medical Oncology have an important participation in the General Hospital Oncology Committee, which carries out consultative activities for the units of the University Hospital "St. George" EAD, as well as for other multidisciplinary hospitals in the region. Doctors from the clinic participate in the General Hospital Clinical Committee for Haematology.
The Clinic of Medical Oncology is a clinical base for training students of medical oncology and clinical hematology, interns in internal medicine, medical specialists.
The training is conducted in Bulgarian and English.
The clinic provides postgraduate specialization of doctors in medical oncology and clinical hematology, as well as training in a doctoral program for obtaining a doctoral degree in the same specialties.
The clinic is a base for conducting clinical trials of medicinal products and medical devices approved by the Executive Medicines Agency.

Project Objectives: to contribute to accelerating the transition towards the digitalisation of the economy by providing grants for the deployment of information and communication technologies and solutions to ensure an increased level of digitalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The project proposal is directly aimed at facilitating access to services and solutions for the deployment of advanced digital technologies, including for the provision of cybersecurity, achieving the basic levels of digitalization (first level "Computerization" and second level "Connectivity") as basic requirements for the subsequent transition to the higher levels of digital transformation. New ICT-based technologies and solutions should contribute to optimising management systems in SMEs, increasing productivity, improving the market presence of enterprises and developing their potential for sustainability and growth.
The expected effect for MEDICAL CENTER ALPICO Ltd. is to increase the level of integration of digital technologies in the activities of the enterprise and to improve their readiness for subsequent adoption of technologies from Industry 4.0. Additionally, the project investments are aligned with the requirements of the principle of "no significant damage" to the environment, contributing to the environmental transition by accelerating the application of digital technologies in the enterprise's operations.
